day 005: familiarity.

i was reading some comments on a movie blog i frequent. apparently the seltzer/friedman team are working on an oh-so-topical twilight spoof movie. i think the shark has long since jumped on twilight mockery, but that's the not the point of this article nor has it stopped that unholy duo from "parodying" anything. i use parody so loosely here. it isn't really ribbing, it's more or less showing a pop culture reference, letting it say a catch phrase of some kind, then hitting it in balls. someone, upon watching the trailer noticed something that i have thought about before. 

day 004: mia+caligula+xii planet

mia has an album on the horizon. there's already singles out, generating buzz. i personally dislike her. not her music, just personally. seems like she's trying way too hard to be edgy to compete with the gagas and the ke$has. should probably stick to being silently edgy. rather than bore you with singles, i found a couple sickkk remixes. hit the jump for the linkz.

day 003: cullen_easilyimpressed

he's being called australia's answer to the postal service. i think it's a pretty audacious claim but this remix is definitely incredible. this track has an almost ethereal quality when it begins, then it picks up and starts. but then when you want to get people going, put on the second mix i threw on today. garden friends remixed by kissy sellout, if you don't lose your shit and just start tearing it up around the 2:45-3:20 mark, then something has to be seriously wrong in the boogie dept. of your brain.

as i continue to write on blogger, i'm starting to understand how to work with the editor a little bit better, and hopefully will master it by the end of the week. hopefully, i'll work out a way so i don't have to split up my lists/dissertations/essays into multiple posts. without further ado, the top x continued.

day 002: top x adventure games pt.1

ah. the early post. i always love going to blogs i lurk early in the morning and finding a new post. it's like the blog author at the same time has that same vacant computer face. what a strange look. how odd we would have looked to our ancestors, staring into a flat box as one would out a window. how many of us are like that right now, staring into flat boxes vacantly. now for my first top x, today it's adventure games.

welcome to neon dystopia. i'm going to try and keep up a regular post schedule and post a new song every day. i'll occasionally post ideas for stories, or just for story worlds. perhaps i'll make a multi-part story serial on here. other times i'll pose questions that have no answers, some that have more than one. i also like making lists. top x's or xxv's usually. tomorrow i'll make a top x. hit the jump for today's mp3.
